ATEX series - special doors for use in potentially explosive areas
The certificate of ATEX is used for the proof of compliance to requirements of minimization of risk of explosion. The mixes of gases, vapors, fog or dust with an atmospheric air capable to burn as a result of ignition are refferred to as explosive environment.
Our potential clients are the enterprises producing and processing rocks, oil-processing industry, the space industry and many others. Antiexplosive systems are an important part for safety of people, health as well as the enterprise.
An enterprise can have one type or a combination of several types of explosion protection.
Concerning the electrical equipment intended for work in explosive gas environments there are:
- "d" - a blast-tight cover
- "e" - the increased protection
- "i" (ia, ib, ic) – intrinsic safety (an intrinsically safe electric circuit)
- "m" (ma, mb, mc) - sealing by a compound
- "nA" - not sparking equipment
- "nC" - a contact device in a blast-tight cover, or hermetically soldered device, or not setting fire component, or the hermetic device
- "nR" - a cover with the limited admission of gases
- "nL" - the equipment containing electric circuits with limited energy
- "nZ" - a cover under excessive pressure
- "o" - oil filling of a cover
- "p" (px, py, pz) - filling or a purge of a cover under excessive pressure
- "q" - quartz filling of a cover
- "s" - a special type of explosion protection
Concerning the electrical equipment intended for work in explosive dust environments there are:
- "t" (ta, tb, tc) - protection by a cover
- "i" (ia, ib) – intrinsic safety (an intrinsically safe electric circuit)
- "m" (ma, mb, mc) - sealing by a compound
- "p" - filling or a purge of a cover under excessive pressure
- "s" - a special type of explosion protection
Concerning non-electrical equipment intended for work in explosive environments there are:
- "c" - constructional safety
- "b" - control of a source of ignition
- "k" - protection by liquid immersion
- "d" - protection of a blast-tight cover
- "fr" - protection by a cover with the limited admission of gases
- "p" - protection by elevated pressure
Our ATEX series door systems are specially designed for use in EX areas in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34 / EU designed and suitable for EX protection zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. All electrical components (with the exception of the control cabinet) have ATEX certification. There are two different door systems that are precisely adapted to their areas of application. Both have standard safety equipment with light barrier, safety edge and emergency release.
High-speed spiral door EFA-SST EX
Explosion-Proof Spiral Door. The classic hall door for potentially explosive atmospheres.
The EFA-SST EX is excellently suited for both internal and external use. In addition to high operating speeds, it also offers a solid door blade with high wind resistance and optimal sealing. The standard door blade consists of double-walled aluminium laths, which can be supplemented all in or part with optional transparent laths. The door blade is guided by a spiral, without contact minimising wear.
The EFA-SST EX has been developed in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU specifically for use in potentially explosive atmospheres for Zone 1 (II 2G IIB T4 GbX), Zone 2 (II 3G IIB T4 GcX), Zone 21 (II 2D IIIB 135°C DbX) and Zone 22 (II 3D IIIB 135°C DcX). The control cabinet must be installed outside the explosion protection zone.
- For use in explosion protection zones 1, 2, 21 and 22
- Highest wind load capacity
- Up to 200,000 operating cycles p.a.
- Suitable for external and internal applications
- Opening up to 1.0 m/s
- Closing up to 0.5 m/s
- Standard sizes up to w=4m x h=5m
High-speed roll-up door EFA-SRT EX
The interior door for potentially explosive atmospheres.
In addition to a standard frequency converter and a microprocessor control system, the EFA-SRT EX for internal use comprises all the typical basic features of modern door technology, such as dynamic door tension and emergency opening via spring systems in the frame members. A hand lever on the frame member allows quick emergency opening of the door system in the event of a power failure. The door leaf is formed by a black, non-transparent special ATEX curtain.
The EFA-SRT EX has been developed in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU specifically for use in potentially explosive atmospheres for Zone 1 (II 2G IIB T4 GbX), Zone 2 (II 3G IIB T4 GcX), Zone 21 (II 2D IIIB 135°C DbX) and Zone 22 (II 3D IIIB 135°C DcX). The control cabinet must be installed outside the explosion protection zone.
- For use in explosion protection zones 1, 2, 21 and 22
- Up to 150,000 operating cycles p.a.
- Heavy-duty inside door
- Opening up to 1.0 m/s
- Closing up to 0.5 m/s
- Standard sizes up to w=4m x h=4m
